Day 92

I went for an explore today. The mode of transport was the push bike.

I. Had. A. Ball.

I’ve discovered down at Victoria Park a place that is filled with beautiful jumping spiders as well as a multitude of other wonderful insects like dragon and damselfly’s, leaf hoppers and some that I’ve yet to identify.

The above image was taken with the MP-E 65 set up (twin lite flash etc) and the magnification is 3:1.

This spider gets the award for being the most patient spider to let me get closer and closer and have the flash go off continually without wanting to run away or put his/her back to me.

I found that at the higher magnification, it was much harder to get the image in focus but when one does – it’s so cool to see the finer details that these beautiful spiders have.
